Various workshops, seminars, and sessions can be organised in classrooms to enhance media literacy knowledge and skills among secondary and college students (including equivalent madrasas). Researchers and thinkers on media literacy must be involved in these activities. These activities can be undertaken through a combined initiative of the relevant ministries, research institutions/NGOs, and academia.

On 3 May 2026, the Prime Minister’s Information and Broadcasting Adviser stated that discussions had been held with the Ministry of Education on introducing school-level media literacy and that related work was continuing.
Observation
The Prime Minister’s Information and Broadcasting Adviser stated that NGOs had been engaged to extend media-literacy programmes to schoolchildren and that the government was seeking broader partnerships in this area. He also highlighted the concentration of NGO activities in Dhaka and urged relevant organisations to prioritise remote regions, where gaps in media literacy are more evident. Building on this initial collaboration, media literacy should be integrated into both curricular and extracurricular programmes. Effective implementation will require coordinated participation by relevant government agencies, educational institutions, NGOs and other non-state actors, with particular attention to ensuring that activities reach students beyond Dhaka.
