This reform proposal has been articulated in the Women’s Affairs Reform Commission Report. The Bangladesh Nationalist Party’s manifesto for the 13th National Parliamentary Election also included directly related pledges: "Enhancing reproductive and mental health support, Strict legal measures to end gender-based and online violence, hatred, and bullying, and Increasing employment of women in formal economic sectors"

On 10 March 2026, the National Curriculum and Textbook Board published Grade II teacher-guidance materials containing a dedicated subject on Physical and Mental Health Education, followed by corresponding Grade V materials in April 2026. On 11 May 2026, it was reported that textbook revisions for the 2027 academic year were under way, with around 320 teachers and experts involved and expanded content planned on artificial intelligence, new technologies, and practical skills.

The identified developments reflect parts of the proposal concerning mental health and technology-related education. Revised textbooks and curricula are planned for introduction in the 2027 academic year, with more detailed content expected on artificial intelligence, new technologies and practical skills. However, whether the final curriculum will include digital and cyber safety, online violence, women’s leadership, women’s participation in unconventional professions, climate change and environmental protection can only be assessed once the revised textbooks and final curriculum are published.
