From 16 to 18 June 2026, UNESCO, in association with Bangladesh Police Headquarters, organised a workshop involving police officials and journalists on freedom of expression, journalist safety and police–media relations. The programme included training on the protection of journalists, crisis communication and professional engagement during situations affecting public order.
Observation
    The workshop addressed journalist safety and strengthened professional cooperation between journalists and law-enforcement agencies. However, it was not undertaken by media organisations and did not establish any binding obligation to provide journalists with safety equipment, institution-led safety training or legal assistance in lawsuits arising from professional work.

Preparing clear guidelines for language use to avoid direct or indirect humiliation of women through words or descriptions.
