Reform Initiated
Last Update: 30-Jul-26
On 1 December 2025, during the tenure of the Interim Government, a committee was formed comprising stakeholders. The terms of reference of the committee, formed under the representation of the Additional Secretary (Administration), included drafting the ordinance/law/rules relating to the Women’s Commission, receiving and coordinating stakeholders’ opinions, collecting the necessary information to review international experience and best practices, coordinating the report of the Women’s Affairs Reform Commission, and submitting the final draft to the Ministry. Provisions were also made for the committee to hold meetings as necessary and to co-opt new members when required. However, no information has yet been found regarding any further action taken on this matter by the new government.
