Review the Bangladesh Civil Service Act 2018, along with the Government Servants Leave Rules and other relevant laws and regulations, and, in light of the 2009 High Court directives and international policies, approve and implement specific amendments or additions to provisions related to gender equality, elimination of discrimination, prevention of sexual harassment, and maternity and paternity leave.

This reform proposal has been articulated in the Women’s Affairs Reform Commission Report. The Bangladesh Nationalist Party’s manifesto for the 13th National Parliamentary Election also included the following similar pledges: “Women’s social and economic empowerment,” “Increasing women’s participation in policy making,” “Strict legal measures to end gender-based and online violence, hatred, and bullying,” and “Increasing employment of women in formal economic Sectors.”

During the Interim Government, it is reported that a DO letter has been issued by the Ministry of Public Administration (MoPA) for the amendment of the government servants' leave rules. [DO Letter No- 32.00.0000.000.018.05.0047.25.392].
Observation
    To date, the rules concerning leave for government employees have not been amended, and no information has been found regarding the other matters.
