This pledge is included in the Bangladesh Nationalist Party’s election manifesto for Bangladesh’s 13th national election. The manifesto states that "Efforts will be made to set up sufficient common rooms and special vending machines with menstrual/health-hygiene supplies for female students in educational institutions.”
Observation

Although no verified government circular, nationwide action plan, or dedicated programme has been identified in the public domain specific to this proposal, limited government-supported installations have taken place at the local level. On 25 June 2026, sanitary-napkin vending machines were installed in four educational institutions in Hatibandha upazila under an Annual Development Programme initiative. As of 17 July 2026, Gafargaon Municipality had also reported installations in four schools and colleges and announced plans for gradual expansion. The FY2026–27 Budget Speech further highlighted the “Ensuring safe health protection for female students" pledge, indicating continued policy attention to the pledge.
